Susan J. Reinen

Susan J. Reinen, age 80 of Faribault, MN passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

Susan Jean, the daughter of Ellsworth and Gertrude (Kline) Hjulberg, was born on March 3, 1945 in Minneapolis, MN, where she lived until she and her family moved to Richfield. She graduated from Richfield High School with the Class of 1963. She was the fourth child of six siblings.

Susan was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on July 31, 1972 . She truly lived by Jesus’ words at Matthew 22:37; to love Jehovah God with your whole heart, soul, and mind.

Susy worked hard her whole life. Working in a plastics factory for many years, also miscellaneous jobs, and all the while raising four children.

Humble, kind and meek, Susy was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She loved animals, especially wild cats. She also loved Star Wars and Star Trek. Anyone who visited her apartment would immediately be aware of that fact! She loved her family deeply, as well as her friends. Susy will be deeply missed.

Susan is survived by her daughters, Audrey (Brandon) Carlson, Dawn (Keith) Walker, and Dianne (Greg) Lewis; son, Daniel (Rolene) Reinen; grandchildren, Sam (Madelyn) Jacobson, Tom Jacobson, Sandra (Dean) Wolkenhauer, and Levi Walker; great granddaughters, Evelyn Jacobson and Daisy Wolkenhauer; siblings, Terrence (Dora) Hjulberg, Linda (Roger) Krueger, and Timothy (Beverly) Hjulberg; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Laurence Hjulberg and Judith Compton.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Faribault with Brandon Carlson officiating. A reception following the service will be held at Buckham West (Senior Center) in Faribault located at 19 West Division Street.

Funeral arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory.
