Virginia F. Johnson

Virginia F. Johnson, age 94 of Faribault, MN passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Pleasant View Estates.

Virginia Frances, the daughter of Lester and Mildred (O’Donnell) Like was born on October 29, 1931 in Slayton, MN. Virginia grew up in Slayton and graduated from Slayton High School with the Class of 1950. She worked at the movie theater while growing up. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Norton G. Johnson on June 10, 1950 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Slayton, MN and they moved to Faribault, MN in 1952. Virginia worked for the Faribault Regional Center for 13 years. She and Norton moved to Mesa, AZ in 1983. While she was there, she worked for K Mart for 10 years before retiring in 1993. They moved to Balaton, MN in 2003 before moving back to Faribault in 2009. Virginia enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends.

Virginia is survived by her children, Michael (Janna) Johnson, Pat Ernste, Bob (Rosemary) Johnson, Paul Johnson, Nort (Shelly Bakeberg) Johnson, and Barb (Bill) Parks; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Robert Bisch; husband, Norton G. Johnson; sister, Mary Christopherson; brother, Charles Like; son-in-law, Steve Ernste; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025 at 10:30 A.M. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home with Deacon Dan Murphy officiating. Interment will be held at St. Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault, MN.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home prior to the service.
