Wayne Breitenfeldt

Wayne A. Breitenfeldt, age 70, of Faribault, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the District One Hospital in Faribault.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault, with Pastor Greg Purchla, pastor of St. Luke’s Church, Faribault, officiating.

Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21st from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Wayne Allen was born on October 12, 1948 in Perham, MN to Elmer and Sally (Helmberger) Breitenfeldt.  Following high school, Wayne served in the Merchant Marines. He spent many years as an international harvester working on silos.  Wayne was a longtime employee at Sheldahl Co. in Northfield, working over 25 years until his retirement.  Wayne married Carren Schultz on July 7, 2007.  He enjoyed tinkering in the garage, cutting wood, camping, being outdoors and was a collector of many things.  Wayne was always very helpful to others and enjoyed everything he would do.

He is survived by his wife, Carren Breitenfeldt; children, Mindy (Eric) Pedicord, Wayne (Cassie) Clark, Chris Breitenfeldt, Chad Breitenfeldt, Cory (Karyn) Breitenfeldt, and Casey Breitenfeldt (special friend, Jenny Hanlon); step-children, Jason (Krystal) Knutson, and Sara (Jason) Truax; grandchildren, Taya Thibodeau, Courtney, Carter, Chad, Cammy, Carley, and Caleb Breitenfeldt, Aaron and Isaac Hanlon; step-grandchildren, Grayson, Austin, Harrison, and Emersyn; brother, Don (Karla) Breitenfeldt; best friend, his dog Chico; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Sally; and his brother, Larry Breitenfeldt.
