Wilma J. McDonough

Wilma J. McDonough, age 72, of Faribault, MN, passed away November 12, 2025, at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, following a sudden illness.

Wilma Jean, the daughter of Marion and Arminda (Hagan) Fudge, was born on January 20, 1953, in Columbia, KY. She graduated from Adair County High School with the class of 1971. Wilma was united in marriage to John F. McDonough on June 20, 1981, at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Columbia, KY. Wilma worked for many years as a payroll administrator. She worked with Judd, Ostermann, and Demro CPA firm for 17 years and Met-Con Construction for 14 years. For 27 years, Wilma was an exceptional sales representative for Mary Kay Cosmetics. She previously volunteered as an officer with the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, and as secretary for the St. Patrick’s Church festival for many years. Wilma enjoyed playing scratch offs with her family and winning bingo on Wednesday nights at the Faribault American Legion. She loved caring for her yard, mowing the grass very short, and having the perfect rock garden. Most of all, Wilma cherished her time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, John McDonough; children, Sarah McDonough (Rick Storey), Sally Jeurissen (Joe), and John McDonough (Emily); grandchildren, Abigail, Leo, Declan, Hallie, and Graham with two more babies on the way; brothers and sisters, Ronnie Fudge (Linda), Larry Fudge (Gayle), Kathy McClister, and Jennifer Carter (John); sister-in-law, Ginger Fudge; nieces and nephews, Chris Fudge, Melena Lacy, Tammy Fudge, Tommy Fudge and Tyler Carter; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Arminda; and brothers, Nolan Fudge and Garry Fudge.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Patrick in Shieldsville, 7525 Dodd Road, Faribault, with Fr. Timothy Sandquist, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at the St. Patrick’s Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16th, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault and on Monday for one hour prior to the services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Patrick Cemetery fund, or a tree dedication fund in memory of Wilma.
