Dennis K. Burgess, age 69 of Faribault, MN passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, February 5, 2020.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault with Fr. Henry Doyle officiating. Interment will be held at the Cannon City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday morning for one hour prior to services.
Dennis Klaus, the son of Wilford and Roberta (Alberts) Burgess was born on July 7, 1950 in Kasson, MN. He attended Kasson Mantorville High School and graduated with the class of 1968. Following high school he attended Mankato State University and received his Masters Degree in Human Resource Management. Dennis worked for the State of Minnesota for 20 years and later was the Founder and President of Our Homes South, Inc. and has owned and operated this business for the past 26 years. On April 30, 1999 he was united in marriage to Nancy Salin at the Congregational Church in Faribault. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching his grandchildren in their sporting activities, golfing, hunting, playing cards and trips to the casino.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Burgess; by his children, Teresa Miller and husband Jamie Glover, Joseph Burgess and wife Meghan and Erin O’Donnell and partner Devin Johnson; by his step-children, Jennifer Miller and husband Christopher Stewart, Jessica Medvedev and husband Taras, Mallory McCoy and husband John; by his grandchildren, Joe Miller, Meg Miller, Payton Miller, Alex Glover, George Glover, Chloe Burgess, Griffin Burgess, William Burgess, Lillian O’Donnell, Sonny O’Donnell, Zachary Stewart, Alexxander Stewart, Devon Stewart, Jamison Stewart, Izaac Stewart, Audrianna Stewart, Eva Medvedev, Stella Medvedev, Scotland McCoy and Quinn McCoy; by his siblings, Brenda Rud and husband John, Robyn Kruchten and husband Dave, Vicki Hoffbauer and husband Gary, Kathy Jensen and husband Jim and Douglas Burgess and wife Jan and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends and residents at Our Homes South.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilford Burgess and Roberta Burgess Middleton.
