Eunice M. Blesener 1925 to 2020: She was born in Rice County the eldest girl of a family of 8 – to Eugene and Effie (Egan) Paquette. She attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from Bethlehem Academy in 1943. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Blesener on May 1947 at Sacred Heart Church in Faribault with Father Gill Mette officiating. Kenneth proceeded her in death September 8th 2002.
Eunice worked in the office at Wilson Packing Plant where she met her husband Kenneth. He worked in the plant weighing hams to be shipped out. Later the Wilson Plant moved to Albert Lea, MN. She later worked for the Regional Center for 12 years. She took a course in Mankato for Home Health Aid then worked for people in their homes for a number of years.
Kenneth and Eunice loved to go to different states in their small pickup camper and for several years picked apples in the state of Washington and after the season was over, they went to Arizona for the winter and camped the Imperial Dam Site.
Eunice also went mushroom hunting and fishing with Ken whenever possible. Her hobbies include cooking, baking, sewing, and raising rhubarb.
Eunice is survived by her sisters, Rosemond Purfeerst and Marion Madigan, both of Faribault; brother, Gerald “Mick” Paquette of Bloomington; sister in law, Donna Paquette of Prior Lake; brother in law, Richard Hanley of Fort Myers, FL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; parents; sisters, Joan Cashin and Kathleen Hanley; and brothers, Donald Paquette and Jerome “Jerry” Paquette.
Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
