Obituary

Goldiemae Sorbel, age 89, of Faribault, MN passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at The Emeralds of Faribault.

Private family services will be held at Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment will take place at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault.

Goldiemae, the daughter of Joseph and Goldiemae (Bailey) Vincent, was born on September 27, 1930 in Richfield, MN.  She was married to Leonard Sorbel Sr. on October 31, 1948. Goldie worked for many years in Faribault at Shady Acres and Jennie-O Turkey Store. She taught Sunday School at First English Lutheran Church for 20 years. While she was not working, she enjoyed being on the farm, being in her garden, visiting with people, and being on the road driving. She had a love for cats and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Karen (Dale Sr.) Van Erp, Larry Sorbel, Michelle Sorbel, and Brian Sorbel, all of Faribault; grandchildren, Dale Van Erp Jr., William Sorbel, Alex (Madison) Van Erp, Paige Sailor, Ashley Van Erp, Dustin Anderson, Miranda Meyer, Adam Sorbel, Jr. Sorbel, Janie (Adrian) Ortiz, Angie Van Erp, and Marie (John) Greybuffalo; many great and great great grandchildren; sister, Delphine Charlton; great friend, Kevin Stadler and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard; two sons, Leonard Sorbel Jr. and Kenneth Sorbel; infant daughter; granddaughter, Lisa Meyer; great granddaughter, Megan Darlington; brothers, Joe, Deloss, Walter, and Raymond Vincent; sisters, Jenet and Gloria Vincent.
