Janet Bultman

Janet L. Bultman, age 64 of Faribault, MN, spouse of Les Melchert, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019 at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive in Faribault with Fr. Kevin Kenney officiating.  Interment will be held at Concordia Cemetery, Morristown.

Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to services.

Janet Louise, the daughter of Gerald and Wilhelmina (Reuvers) Bultman, was born on November 9, 1954 in Faribault.  She attended Faribault Senior High School and graduated with the class of 1972.  Following high school Janet attended the Faribault Vo-Tech, now South Central College.  Janet worked for 29 years at C&S Vending, retiring as Controller.  Janet and Les enjoyed traveling, going to the State Fair, casino trips, demolition derbys and watching the Minnesota Twins.  She also enjoyed reading, cross-stitching and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her spouse, Les Melchert of Faribault; by two children, Curt Melchert and wife Bri and their children, Ben, Callie and Cole of Maple Grove, MN and Sara Wead and husband Juston and their children, Lyla and Hartley of Cody, WY; by ten siblings, Marion Brakke of Hoyt Lakes, MN, William (Vickie) Bultman of Faribault, Lucille Bultman of Australia, George (Betty) Bultman of Faribault, Charles Bultman of Owatonna, MN, Carol (Steve) McHugo, Arthur (Sonya) Bultman, Joan Bultman, Judy Bultman and Patrick (Lisa) Bultman all of Faribault and by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jerome and David Bultman and by her sister, Irene Smisek.
