Richard V. Anderson, age 64, of Morristown, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 9, 2021.

Richard Vincent was born on April 14, 1957, in Tracy, MN, to Norman C. and Loretta G. (Liesenfeld) Anderson.  He graduated from Lamberton High School and attended Bemidji State Vo-Tech for auto mechanics.  Richard worked for Daikin Applied in Faribault as a welder and balancer for 35 years.  He was married to Kathy Rhoades on July 6, 1985.  Richard loved drag racing and was an avid NASCAR fan. He built and maintained his own cars and traveled to many places to compete.  He was passionate about anything to do with guns and enjoyed hunting.  He loved to share his knowledge regarding drag racing and guns.  Throughout his lifetime animals and kids were his passion.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Anderson; special family friend, Vicki Locklier; siblings, Peter (Julie) Anderson, Michael Anderson, Mary (James) Okins, his twin, Thomas Anderson, and Kathleen (Kenneth) Sell; siblings-in-law, Dian King, Peggy Karsten, Karen (Archie) Kasparek, Rhonda Rhoades, Nancy (Jim) Goshey, Sara (Keith) Hopke, Alan (Linda) Rhoades, Larry Rhoades, David (Leslie) Rhoades, and Darin (Susan) Rhoades; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Loretta; brothers, Robert “Greg” Anderson, and James “Charlie” Anderson; and other family members.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault.  A time for sharing will be held on Friday at 6:30 p.m.
