Shirley L. Ross, age 92, of Medford, MN passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at the Koda Living Community in Owatonna, MN.

A Celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at a later date.  Interment will be at the Cannon City Cemetery.

Shirley Louis, the daughter of Louis and Eva (Schauber) Mausel, was born on January 19, 1928 in Minneapolis, MN. She attended North High School in MPLS and graduated with the class of 1946. Following her schooling, Shirley was united in marriage with Keith Ross and had ten children. She worked as a telephone operator throughout her career. Shirley was the backbone of her large family. She loved her kids and grandkids and would go to any length to help them out. She wasn’t afraid to let people know where she stood on issues and didn’t care about the consequences or outcome that came from it. Shirley was loved by many friends and family and was always great company. She enjoyed her quilting, crafts, and sewing as well as scratch offs, football numbers, and the casino.

Shirley is survived by 9 children and their spouses; Barb Moore of Isle, MN, Bev Wallen of Camino Isand, WA, Peggy Barger of White Bear Lake, MN, Susan Seabright of Everett, WA, Scott Ross of Arlington, WA, Mary Ross of Owatonna, MN, Gary Ross of Isanti, MN, John Ross of Medord, MN, and Jenny Ross of Janesville, MN; 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; 2 nieces; and many other loving family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Keith; son, Keith “Sam” Ross Jr.; grandchild, Heidi; parents, Louis and Eva; her 2 brothers; and 1 niece and 1 nephew.
