Suzanne Reuvers

SuzAnne M. Reuvers, age 80, of Dundas, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 16, 2019 at the Northfield Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Drive, Faribault.  Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 – 10:40 a.m. at the church.  The Rosary will be recited on Friday at 10:40 a.m. at the church.

Arrangements are with the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault.

SuzAnne Mary, the daughter of Lawrence and Luella (Bisping) Kern was born on September 18, 1939 in Faribault.  She graduated from Bethlehem Academy High School with the class of 1957.  Sue was married to James Reuvers on October 20, 1962 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault.  They farmed for over 35 years in Forest Township, Rice County.  Early in her career she worked as a beautician. Sue was very creative and artistic.  Out of her home she operated S & J Country Creations and taught painting classes to many.  She also produced many pieces that are cherished by family members.  In addition to her arts, Sue was a talented gourmet chef.  Later in life she graduated from Faribault Vo-Tech with a degree in accounting.  She worked as a bookkeeper for a marina in Minneapolis and at Williams Sonoma until her retirement.  Her faith and family were of great importance to Sue, volunteering at church in many ways.

She is survived by her husband, James Reuvers; son, Bryan (Lucinda) Reuvers of Hager City, WI and their children, Zachary and Alyson, and her daughter, Carolyn (Vincent) Anch of Kansas City, MO and their daughter, Adriana; her siblings, Jerome Kern of St. Paul, MN, Patricia (Leonard) Petricka of Faribault, Kay (Allan) Michael of Faribault, Kevin (Sue) Kern of McGregor, MN, and Timothy Kern (special friend, Jamie Way) of Faribault; and by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Luella; a daughter in infancy; her sister, Noreen Kern; and sister-in-law, Alice Kern.
