Thomas Jacob, the son of Adrian and Mary (Gillen) Reuvers, was born on December 20, 1931 in Faribault.  He graduated from Bethlehem Academy High School with the class of 1949.  Tom helped run the family farm after his father passed, served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, and was employed by Voegel’s Creamery.  He was united in marriage to Betty Michel on July 13, 1957 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault.  For 46 years, the couple farmed in Wells Township, Rice County.  He dedicated himself as a 4-H leader and was active on the Rice County Shipping Association Board, Northrup King Advisory Board and in the local school district.  He was a member of the Faribault Council 889 Knights of Columbus, Faribault Eagles Aerie 1460, and the American Legion Post 43. Tom was a loving husband, father and grandfather who cherished farming with his two brothers. He spent many years attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, and also enjoyed the Rose Bowl and Arizona State basketball games.
