Tuon Chey

Tuon Chey, age 69 of Faribault, MN passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at the Park Avenue Home in Faribault following an extended illness.

Tuon Chey was born on May 3, 1950. She immigrated to Faribault from Cambodia in 1982. Tuon retired from Faribault Community Resources and lived at Park Home, a Minnesota State Operated Community Service home, for 23 years.

Tuon loved warm afternoons sunbathing with her favorite hat and pair of sunglasses on.  Her passions were Cambodian dance, fashion and writing.  She has touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by 2 brothers, Jaram Chey and Phuan Chey, both of Cambodia.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Som Chey and Pheap Sum, and by her sister, Say Chey.

A gathering to remember Tuon will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Park Avenue Home, 2307 Park Ave., Faribault.

Tuon’s final resting place will be at the Buddhist Temple at Watt Munisotaram in Hampton, MN.
