Violet Peters

Violet R. Peters, age 83, of Owatonna, MN, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Traditions of Owatonna following a brief illness.

Violet Ruth was born on May 16, 1938, in Minneapolis, MN, to Albert and Ella (Johnson) Walker.  She was united in marriage to Robert Peters on February 23, 1957, in Minneapolis.  Violet assisted her husband with their farming in Rice County for many years.  Following Robert’s passing in 1997, she blossomed to become very social and enjoyed her time with others.  She enjoyed playing cards games, reading, doing crossword puzzles, and fishing.

She is survived by her children, Rick (Wendy) Peters of Albert Lea, MN, Rita (Dennis) Boettcher of Owatonna, Marjorie Herrley of Faribault, Karen (Pete) Remington of Morristown, MN, Roger (Brandi) Peters of Morristown, Raymond (Kara) Peters of Owatonna, Jeff Peters of Owatonna, and Virginia (Willie) Meinke of Faribault; 26 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; parents, Albert and Ella; brother, Earl Walker; and son-in-law, Scott Herrley.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home, 1725 Lyndale Ave. N., Faribault, with Pastor Garry Rosenau, officiating.  Interment will be at the Union Cemetery in Medford, MN.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
